{Lamia's Newsletter} Welcome back! Heat & hope.

Hi Reader.

A few weeks ago I realized these emails had been mostly going to spam for the past few months.
โ€‹
โ€‹
๐Ÿ™„"Geez" I thought, I have been writing these messages and only 20% of people are getting them, what the?
Then I realized my mistake, I needed a new email address, my apologies for the interruption in info and I am happy to say...

I am back in your inbox with TCM health tips!

With heatwaves, global heat rising, smoky skies and forest fires I am talking with clients a lot more about staying cool, nourishing Yin, what to say to our children and how to weather the weather.

In this email

  1. Welcome back
  2. Cool tips for summer
  3. Lamia's fave electrolyte goji drink
  4. SSSS - Schedule shifts & sharing space
  5. Mystery Ailments
  6. Hope

Cool Tips for Summer

Yin, in Chinese Medicine, is our coolant, body fluids, organs, and tissues. Yang is heat, movement and the function of the body. Each one needs the other. Heat needs cool and vice versa. Eternally relating all life will be.

When Yang rises we add Yin or clear Heat to promote harmony.

Nourish Yin with food

  • Water, electrolytes, Nettle, Lavender and Rose tea
  • Spinach, beets, lentils, chicken, kale, goji, cherries, mulberries, celery and so much more.

Practice

  • Cultivation of stillness with guidance or without
  • Building skills of compassion and loving kindness to exist in regard of self and other. Regard is neutral and returns homeostasis.

Environment

  • Finding cool places to cool down

Clear heat with food

  • Watermelon, mulberry, pears
  • Bok choy, cucumber, zucchini
  • Mung bean
  • Barley
  • Chrysanthemum tea, coconut water

Crane Qigong for Heart in Summer, with Momma Panda

We can differentiate how we take care of ourselves, to adapt and resist. With wildfires, overuse of water and so much more, we grieve, build capacity, rage, decide and lean into what Traditional and Natural Medicine is made of; a deep and powerful connection with all Life, the Earth and each other.

I love a mystery.

If you or someone you know is dealing with something a Doctor won't or can't figure out, send them my way.

I won't make promises, but I will try my darndest to solve the case!

โ€‹
I offer a free 15 min consult and a 75 min assessment and treatment for when you are ready to book.

Hope

I have been privy to the dying process for over 40 years and can currently sense an energetic tone that is so familiar with serious or terminal illness. Aligning self with other and world is no small feat, can't be perfect, but can be done. Somehow we have to care for ourselves and the world around us amidst global crises.

As we face what is, I invite you to consider, if this is the end of the world as we know it, what do you want for self/other/world? AND if it isn't the end, what now?

We may or may not be dying, and in uncertainty remain the roots of hope.

If a healing rest, quality care or some truth telling cycle breaking support is what you are looking for, come and see me.

love,

Lamia
