Is it dying or trying to live?
I was tending to the plants at the clinic and one was dying, or so I thought.
I went to take a clipping and saw it was both sick, and reaching. Growing new roots to try and find balance. Turning yellow and dry to communicate something is not harmonious here.
It feels akin to when I work with you, with clients. Not so often the dying part, but the stress, the withering, the sickness, the dis-ease... all real. And, there is the reach, the ask for help, fresh water, an adjusted environment, the care.
They likely have too much light from the indoor grow lights. So, I tenderly clipped, put them in fresh water and placed them in an area with less light. We shall see how they grow.
What is there too much of in your environment? We don't control very much but we can decide to do differently with what is.
When you come in I ask, what you want to focus on today? What does it feel like? Underneath the questions I am also asking, what is your reach? your water? what happens when your flow is set free?
So poetic really.
Not dying, reaching.
Reaching towards harmony.
- Is it that anything but death is alive? hopeful? trying?
- What is sick but reaching for your attention?
- What signs in you are life trying to live?
October is off and moving!
It's busy season for squirrels, students, health practitioners and more and right now is a good time to bring you info about burnout. Wise action is in seeing clearly and there is a lot we can do at any stage of burnout to get help and feel better.
